Hello! Jennifer here. I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a bit about me. I live in the South West of the UK (the English Riviera), right by the sea – in fact I can see the sea from my office window. I am the mum of two children – both who are still at school.
My background is in food and education – I gained my BSc(Hons) Food Manufacture in 1996 and then went on to study for a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in 2001. I now spend much of my time teaching in one form or another (face to face and via the Internet). I love technology and the Internet but appreciate that it can be quite daunting at times.
You may well hear me talking about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as I find them interesting 🙂
My biggest passion is sharing knowledge – and not in a stand at a blackboard way either. All the things that I teach I have learnt myself. I have started creating info products and on-line video courses. I don’t promise to know everything (who does), but what I do know I try to keep as simple and waffle-free as possible! If I don’t know then I will try and find out the answer unless it is ridiculously complicated – then I do it another way.
At present I work for a charity that support children, young people and adults with learning disabilities. Before that I was in work-based learning where I would go into work places to improve skills levels, mainly in English, Maths and IT, and food-related topics, such as Food Safety. I also teach IT privately.
I have several published courses on Udemy, and am a Premium Instructor.
My goal for myself and my family is to create a passive income stream. In days where pensions aren’t going to get you a very comfortable retirement. I would love to help others do the same.
